Bay Six Half Marathon Training Week - #10

For this Sunday's scheduled long run I was quite nervous due to my last really long run (2 weeks ago) drama (refer to 'A Pain in the leg..?').  I was scheduled to do 11 this weekend, but honestly I was a little freaked out, so I decided to try 10 again and hope that this one went better than the one 2 weeks ago.  It definitely went better, but once we crossed the finish line today, Joe and I both were in agreeance that we are ready for this race to be over for a little R&R.  Training for races really takes up a lot of your time...  The last race (10 miler) was on October 22 and we ran a 5K on November 19 and then had to start training all over again on December 26.  With that being said, this race is in two weeks (March 18th) and then we have another race (10K) in six weeks (April 14th).  Then I think we need some time to recoup mentally and physically.

Training Schedule vs. Training Actuality
Week #10 - 2/27/2012

Monday - Rest vs. Rest
Tuesday - 5 m run vs. 3.5 (super hilly @ 9:32 pace)
Wednesday - Strength and Strengthen vs. 200 crunches, 45 chest, 45 dips, 3 pullups
Thursday - 3 m run and Strength vs. 5 miles (@ pokey)
Friday - Rest vs. rest, rain, rain, rain and more rain...
Saturday - 11 mile run vs. rest, rain, rain, rain and more rain... 
Sunday -  5 mile run vs. 10 mile run (@ 10:01 pace)

Total Mileage To Date
140.8 miles (Start 12/26/2011)

Only two more weeks to go!!!
