Day 04- A habit that you wish you didn't have, or something that you are looking forward to

Something that you are looking forward to...

Horseshoe Falls, Canada

This August will be our 3 year anniversary! We have decided to go to Canada and see Niagara Falls! Joe has never been outside of the United States, so we thought this would be a fun trip! The only thing that I am 'not looking forward to' is the anxiety from the string of bad luck as far as 'visiting' hospitals around our anniversary.

Anniversary
#1 - One week prior to our anniversary, Joe was in Louisiana with some friends on a River (near Mississippi) inter-tubing. He punctured his barefoot, got a terrible infection within hours, and ended up in the hospital for 6 days including foot surgery. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip (Charleston, SC) as Joe was on crutches for about 2 weeks.

#2 - We finally had made it to Charleston, SC for our second anniversary and the day after our return I ended up with a really bad stomach virus and Joe took me to the Emergency Room. Strangely enough, we had the same nurse from year #1 and she remembered us! Not sure that's a good thing? =)

Let's hope year #3 we don't have any bad luck for us or the kitties!

Your rather short History Lesson about Niagara Falls...
Niagara Falls was formed when glaciers receded, and water (from melting) formed the Great Lakes, Niagara River and carved a path through the Niagara Escarpment towards the Atlantic Ocean. More than 6 million cubic feet of water falls over the crest line every minute. The verdant green color of the water flowing over the Niagara Falls is a byproduct of the estimated 60 tonnes per minute of dissolved salts and very finely ground rock (rock flour) generated by the erosive force of the Niagara River.

Niagara Falls is divided into the Horseshoe Falls (Canada) and the American Falls (United States).
