Friendship Bracelets

Friendship Bracelets - A friendship bracelet is a bracelet given by one person to another as a symbol of friendship. Friendship bracelets are often handmade, usually of embroidery floss or thread. There are various styles and patterns, but most are based on the same simple half-hitch knot. The making of friendship bracelets is a version of macrame.

I use to make friendship bracelets back in middle school. I don't really remember giving them to friends, but I use to sell them for several dollars. Maybe the people who purchased them, gave them to their friends? I remember making them in class and would tape the end of the bracelet under my desk so I could tie the knots and the teacher wouldn't see me. Easy way to hide it and a good way to learn in school too, right?
