Dutch Braid

The dutch braid is much like the french braid, except that you braid the strands under the braid, rather than over the braid as with french.

For this double braid option, you can use a comb or your fingers to separate hair about 2.5 inches wide around the entire face. Once you've selected the width of the braid, then place the rest of the lose hair not being braided into a ponytail so it doesn't get in the way.

Braid #1
I started my first braid over my right eye and then dutch braided down the left side all the way to the end and then placed a dark brown hair tie to secure the braid. Note: You could stop at the point of the ponytail, put a hair tie in it until finished to have a completely smooth ponytail.

Left Side
Braid #2
This braid will be a lot shorter since you have parted it on the side. Same process as above.
