Joe and I adopted Norman & Contessa last August for our 2 year anniversary. We have officially had them for 1 year this August! Where does the time go? Anyways, this morning @ 9am we had our vet visit to get all vaccines and health check-up to date. Contessa went first and she did a great job. I don't think any animal likes to be poked and prodded, but she really was a good sweet thing. Norman on the other hand... WOW... Today he was awful, he would hiss and growl even if no one was looking at him. They did weigh him, but to get him on the table they finally brought out a blanket. The doctor couldn't even do an exam on him b/c he was so aggressive and mean. They finally got out the big dawg gloves (looks like for eagles!) and a towel to pin him down to at least give him his shots. Then they sent us home with the dewormer medicine to give him later. They said next time for an exam he should probably get sedated. SERIOUSLY!?!? Which don't get me wrong I totally agree that he is out of control and it wasn't good for him or anyone else in the room. I know that sedating animals is hard on their body, but I can't imagine him freaking out like he did being any better. I'm pretty sure that sedating would be less stress than what he did to himself today. Unfortunately it's about $100 more expensive to do that, but thankfully it's only going to be 1 time a year. HOPEFULLY! If he doesn't get sick or anything.

Apparently she wanted to stay... Or was ready to take a nap! OR get very, very far away from Norman!

On Our Way Home!

Once we got home Norman and Contessa pretty much went straight to sleep. Fortunately, Norman was back to his sweet self once we got home.
