My Testimony

My testimony isn't a long one, but none the less it is my story...

I grew up going to church for as long as I can remember. My parents are very strong Christian's and wanted to lead by example and brought me and my brother with them every Sunday for Sunday School and Sunday Church Service. Once I went away to college in June 2001, things changed. I didn't have anyone to tell me that we were going to church that morning. So for several years I lived the 'wild' days without letting God be present in my life or at least I thought he wasn't... From 2001 - 2003 I can say it was a life I don't regret, but will say that I was living a 'lost' life... I don't necessarily regret the things that I've done, because if they didn't happen I wouldn't be where I am at today... In 2003, I got my act together and started focusing more on school, work, and finding new friends... There was a point in my life in 2005 where I thought to myself 'I know there is more to life than this'. So in May of 2005 I decided to start going back to church at Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale on Sunday's and also started attending Wednesday night services. At that time I had also started attending a bible study small group on Thursday nights. It didn't take very long, but I decided that I was ready to commit my life to Christ. I was baptized by immersion at Pompano Beach in Florida on September 17, 2005.

I think for anyone once you commit your life to Christ spiritual warfare can have its moments of intensity. No matter how hard we fall, we are always picked back up. Sometimes it just takes a little longer than other times for us to get back on your feet and find that straight and narrow path again...

  1. That, my dear, is a wonderful story. Did you know that's my favorite verse? :)
