I remember when I found out that Santa wasn't real. We were living in New Mexico at the time, so I was probably between the ages of 6-9 years old. Of course on Christmas Eve we were sent to be early so Santa would be able to come. Otherwise if we were awake, Santa wouldn't be able to leave our gifts! I of course snuck down the stairs after bedtime and saw my parents by the fireplace placing gifts in our stockings with utter care. This obviously was my proof that Santa didn't exist...
Do you remember how you found out Santa wasn't real?
I remember it very precisely: I was five years old. Every Christmas, after the Christmas dinner, my Mom used to sneak out of the kitchen to "check out" whether Santa had already dropped by. Finally, it wasn´t that difficult to put two and two together :)
