Bay Six Half Marathon Training Week - #9

As I had mentioned in Saturday's post, 'Pain In The Leg', I had some pretty serious issues trying to run this week hence all of the 'Rest' days.  When I finally went to the doctor this past Friday, all I could think was that I'd be devastated if he would have said take some time off (which happened to me in 2001 and 2006 due to a pinched nerve)...  Good thing the doctor ordered Advil, ice, stretching and said keep on running and good luck!  I was ecstatic!

I've been eyeing up this shirt for awhile and I finally ordered it off of eBay for $25 (no tax or shipping).  Nothing like a little inspiration!

Training Schedule vs. Training Actuality
Week #9 - 2/20/2012

Monday - Rest vs. Rest
Tuesday - 5 m run vs. Rest
Wednesday - Strength and Strengthen vs.Rest
Thursday - 3 m run and Strength vs. 3 miles (slow...)
Friday - Rest vs. Rest (Orthopedic appointment)
Saturday - 15K (9.3 miles) race vs. 5 m run (9:35 pace, good pace with an injury)
Sunday -  Rest vs. 3 miles (9:50 pace with a lot of hills and 2 stop lights)

Total Mileage To Date
122.3 miles (Start 12/26/2011)

3 weeks and 67.1 miles remaining on the schedule!  Bring it!
