Valentine's Day

This day as we know it, is associated with romance and over centuries has evolved into an occasion in which lovers express their adoration for each other by presenting flowers, sweets and greeting cards.  We also recognize this holiday with hearts, doves and that figure of cupid floating around the 'holiday' aisle.  Some people love this holiday and others, well not so much...  I'm sort of that in-between person, but don't get me wrong I still expect (said as nicely as possible...) my hubby to buy me a gift (which is usually not flowers, candies or cards) for Valentine's Day.  Hubby, I hope that you went shopping if not you have a few hours to pull out the credit card.  He knows that 'gift giving' is my spiritual gift, so none the less, a gift is much appreciated.  We'll be celebrating this Valentine's Day at home with chocolate fondu by the smoldering fire place.  Sounds good to me!  We plan to venture out on a fabulous date night this Friday for post Valentine's Day when I will wear my new peplum dress (as mentioned in My Valentine Attire post).
