The Lion (Aslan) sits
lonely during the winter months, awaiting the arrival of birds, butterflies and
bees due to the invasion of hundreds of flowers in his garden. After a mild winter, the spring blooms are slowly starting to emerge from the ground and bring color to the garden around him.
Throughout the last two (2) years of planting and caring for our flower garden we decided to incorporate every color of the rainbow into our backyard; from buttery warm yellows to purple so dark it reminds you of midnight. When we planted this garden it was my task to take care of it, but with the abundance of maintenance my husband has taken a liking to also care for the flowers. I think he really enjoys the peaceful mornings and listening to the birds serenade him while he works in the early morning sun.

Don't worry Aslan your flowers will be here soon enough!
The bunny has already been covered with these early spring white flowers.
The blue (look purple) butterfly scabiosas hardly went dormant this winter
Lithodora (tiny vibrant blue flowering low lying evergreen)
Tiffany Roses (light pink petals with interior yellow) leaves are starting to emerge in vibrant fall colors?
Norman (left) and Contessa (right) love when we can prop open the windows to enjoy the spring weather. Our cats are solely indoor and this is always a treat for them to breath in the fresh air.
Poor little lion sitting in time out for all those months! :*(
