Friday's Letters

Dear Friday's, I do love that I get to work from home on this day...  Dear Work Badge, I'm sorry I accidently flushed you down the toilet at work on Tuesday...  Oops!  I guess I was ready for a new picture anyways.  Dear Pool, thank you for opening this weekend I can't wait to spend some time with you this summer!  Dear Husband, I'm seriously counting down the days until you can shave your beard off.  I'm not a fan!  Dear Mustache/White Trash Party, please come quickly (May 19)!!!  Dear Cary Distance Festival, please don't be hilly tomorrow!  I'd like a nice flat 10K (6.2 miles) please!
Dear Fabulous Fun Finds, thank you for selecting me as a giveaway winner!  Dear Hubby (my cook), I hope you enjoy your new Le Creuset 1.5 Braiser in blue from FFF!  Can't wait to see what recipes you find for that bad boy!  Dear Schue Love, thank you for selecting me as a giveaway winner for a lovely LouLou Sucre necklace! Dear Fashion Chalet, thank you for my GC to inpink.com!  Dear Lucky Streak, please stick around for awhile!

Friday's Fancies Week #13: Kentucky Derby

Kentucky Derby
Kentucky Derby by eloquentenglish featuring a block dress

Joe and I started dating around the Kentucky Derby time back in May of 2006.  At that time, we were both working in public accounting in the Washington D.C. area at Grant Thornton.  The company paid for us to go to Virginia Gold Cup Races that year.  The Gold Cup Steeplechase Races are a big to do, with approximately 50,000 spectators each year.  The Kentucky Derby starts only a few hours after the Gold Cup Races.  It's a fun time!  That day is sort of extra special as it was the first time Joe said 'I love you' to me.  I don't think I said anything back to him for a few hours as I was shocked!  Well you know how the rest of the story goes...

  11. Your letter made me chuckle. It's nice to know that there is somewhere in the world where outdoor pools open at ANY time. In England, it currently IS an open pool - it won't stop raining. It's also really cold (Spring anyone?!).

Loving the racing outfits. Thanks for coming and commenting on my letters too.
