Friday I was assigned to a 7:30am inventory audit at the hospital.  The audit was suppose to start at 8am and I was told I would be in/out within an hour.  I left the hospital around 10am, so it felt like a very long Friday morning.   I'm typically at home on Friday's in my pajamas working from the comfort of my own couch and a kitty snuggled up against me...  I love Friday's.  So after I finished my audit, I stopped by Dunkin Donuts and picked up two coffees and two donuts and made a surprise visit to the hubby's office.  When I walked in, he was just standing up to walk out of his office and 'surprise'!  He didn't seem to mind too much.  I mean who could complain about a coffee and a donut?  After work we both did some chores...  Yep chores on a Friday night as Saturday we were going to be out and about the entire day.  After the chores were finished, we caught up on our DVR.  Finally Burn Notice is back on!  I love Burn Notice...  Sigh...  I even dream about it?!?

Saturday we woke up early (6am) and headed to Wrightsville Beach (NC).  There were hardly any clouds in they sky, however it was a little more windy than we would have cared for.  No ocean dip for us as the air and water were a little too chilly to get in.  After our two hour drive home, Joe wasn't ready to stay in for the night so we headed over for some Sushi + Cold Stone!  YUM!
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sunday was our usual go to church, stop by the grocery store, go for a run and head to the pool kind of day.  No complaints here.

Since January, we have been studying the book of Titus.  Our Pastor is a thorough teacher and he typically teaches one book for an entire year.  Pretty intense, but we love it!  Anyways...  It's Monday, you know that day the majority of us dread.  That first day back to work after the weekend.  You know that weekend we work for each week until we can retire.  Titus reminds us that we should be looking at 'Monday' as an opportunity...

Titus 2:9-10
9Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, 10 and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.

We are reminded that we should be:

loyal and pleasing workers - do your best
not talking back - compliant, not sarcastic, defiant, etc.
not stealing - honest and trustworthy

Our character should shine through our actions to glorify God...  Christian, we should live each day with a respectful attitude and speech, good performance everyday (as we were doing it for Christ), demonstrate that God's message of salvation produces positive, visible results.

Each day is an opportunity to be a witness, don't miss it...

  2. Love your capsule of Instagram photos and the catch up on your (fabulous) weekend. Beaching and poolside are words that automatically make a weekend delightful in my mind! A book of the Bible per year is so thorough and I bet you learn so much more that way ... what a great idea. Love your finish, all so very true. xoxo
