Friday we were invited to a surprise 30th birthday dinner in downtown Raleigh for our dear friend Stephanie.  We had a great time gathering with everyone as always!  You know you are getting old, when after dinner everyone doesn't head to the bar, instead you head to Krispy Kreme.  Probably just as many calories...  Sorry KK fans, but my heart will forever lie with Dunkin Donuts!

Saturday we had last minute visitors (Matt, Erica and baby Evan) stop by on their travels home to West Virginia.  It was great to see them as it had been almost two years since the last time we saw them, so obviously a lot had changed.  They had a baby now!  It's sort of surreal seeing your friends get older, get married and have kids...  Another sign of getting older...

Sunday we saw Matt, Erica and baby Evan off after breakfast...  We spent the majority of our day in the house in our pajamas.  It was one of those overcast, dreary days, where it looks like winter, but really it's hot has you know what outside.  We were able to clean up the house, clean out a closet, watch television and just relax.  That's two Sunday's in a row!  I'm soaking it in!  

As of next weekend, we will start our training regiment (casually as real training doesn't start until mid-August) for the American Tobacco Trail 10 miler at the end of October.  As of August 13, it will equate to about 180 miles of training.  Who knows I may post weekly training statuses again as it really holds me accountable.  Joe will be participating in a half marathon the weekend after the 10 miler, however I will be in South Florida that weekend.  I think know I'll be having more fun than he will.
