Top Row: Contessa, Water Balloon Fight Prep, BR sandals (in store if you are lucky)
Middle Row: Jordan Lake, Ice Cream Sunday, Summer Cleaning
Side Note: I made that ice cream Sunday for Joe. I had handed it to him, told him I was going to change for bed and then when I came back he ate the thing! No offer to share!?!?!? Not cool English, not cool!
Bottom Row: Out and About, Fortune, Normie (Zzzzzzzzzzzzz)
weekend...
This weekend felt like a wash... With temperatures soaring to 105 and a heat index of 116 our plans were to stay inside as much as possible. I know on Friday our air conditioner ran for a straight 12+ hours. I'm sure this months electric bill is going to be a doozie.
A Puzzle
On Sunday evening we decided to do a puzzle. I think this is the first time we've ever done a puzzle together and Joe's comment was, 'This is how I know we are getting old!'. Each year when we travel, we buy Joe's grandmother a puzzle for Christmas. Once she has completed the puzzle she returns it to us! I think it's quite funny, but I kind of like that she gives it back to us. Not only did she get to share our travel memories, but we get to relive it ourselves later. The puzzle we are putting together is of Lassen Peak, CA. We hiked to the top of the volcano back in 2008. One of our all time favorite trips...
The puzzle looks similar to this image.
We made it to the very, very top peak!
Harry Potter Letters
My Aunt and Uncle had asked if we'd kindly write my two cousins a note while they are at camp. Mind you, they are less than half my age and will be gone away from home for almost a month! That's quite a long time! With that being said, I know they both love Harry Potter. So I asked Joe for a little help in writing the letters and I drew two second sketches for fun. Megan I know you will appreciate this effort!

ReplyDeleteLooks like an eventful weekend! And how cute of you guys to write Harry Potter letters, so fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up :)
LOL about the puzzles and getting old! You two are something! I love your Harry Potter card and note. They are really going to appreciate that. You're so talented! Do you guys have leveled billing for your electricity. It may be something to look into. You pay about the same throughout the year for heat and air.

I love that puzzle story, it's such a wonderful tradition! I might as well start doing the same thing, since I'm a huge puzzle fan (nothing to do with me getting old: I've loved puzzles ever since I was 5 years old :) And how perfect are those Harry Potter letters? I'm a huge fan myself, and I would love to receive such a perfect letter :)
