the lobster and the moose

After our adventure at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (post here) we decided we needed to see a Moose.  who goes to Maine without seeing a moose?  So we headed south to go to the Maine Wildlife Park.

However, we didn't make it too far before we made a pit-stop at Sprague Lobster and Clam Bake in Wiscasset.  Joe was bound and determined to eat a Maine lobster.  what does he order? a 2.7lb lobster.   wow was it huge!

We saw a few other local animals that were rescues, however the chain fence doesn't make for sightly pictures so I didn't bother to post htem. For the moose I stood up on the rail fence to take a few pictures.  The moose was eating when we arrived and had no interest in his spectators.  as i looked around and it was just Joe and I, I whipped out my iphone.  

Amanda: Joe there has to be a sound for a  moose noise on the internet...  yep I found one.  I turned up the volume as loud as possible....

Joe: he's coming closer!  I hope these animals aren't feisty.

I'm pretty sure the moose was disappointed that we weren't another moose, but we got up very close and personal!
