the windy city and farm country

This past weekend we were in the Chicago area.  We were there visiting for family matters, but we were able to romp around the city for part of the time as well.  I was born outside of this Windy City, very true to its name by the way, but moved away at a very young age.  I don't remember any of it.  We were there for Christmas this past year, but prior to that was the Chicago Marathon in 2006 where we literally ran the city.  As I will probably say for the next decade, I am still recovering from that race and it was nearly 7 years ago!

None the less, we had a wonderful weekend spending time with family and friends considering the circumstances.  We also had a lot of fun walking around th ecity site seeing and shopping!

We hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
Thank you men and women for your services and dedication to our country!

  5. Hi Amanda! I love romping around Chicago, in fact, I should be there sometime the end of June for a family baby shower, so of course we have to add a few days to romp around on our own first ;) Love the photos! Hope you're having a great week! xo ~S
