the great pumpkin patch

Two weekends ago we went pumpkin picking.  I know I'm a little late on this post, but I still have one more day until Halloween so I think I'm okay.  This year I noticed a theme (over several years) when we go pumpkin picking.  Joe always picks the taller ones and I pick the round fat ones.  giant rounds ones at that, giant to me at least.  Tonight we will be carving these big orange squashes into something fun for Halloween.

Each year on Halloween night, we typically have 50+ kids that come trick-or-treating.  The doorbell can be rather obnoxious so Joe we like to sit outside in lawn chairs and hand out the candy to the little ghost and goblins that haunt our neighborhood.  i may hoard some of the good candy.
